About
👋🏼 I’m Cat Keem
a Classical Pilates teacher and ceramic artist based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Whether it is through movement or handmade ceramics, my work is guided by the same belief:
That small daily intentional practices can help us grow, change and make our lives better.
My Purpose
Unearth Potential, Discover Possibilities
Through both teaching and making, I'm interested in what lies beneath the surface.
As a Pilates teacher, I help people develop the awareness, strength, and confidence to reconnect with their bodies. My hope is to create a space where movement becomes an opportunity for growth.
As a ceramic artist, I approach clay with the same curiosity. Each piece is shaped by observation, patience, and the quiet lessons found in nature, culture, and everyday life. I create objects that invite moments of presence and remind us that meaning often lives in the simplest rituals.
Work With Me
-
Born and raised in Honolulu, I’ve been moving and creating for as long as I can remember. As a former athlete, dancer, and choreographer, movement became my first language—a way of expressing strength, rhythm, and resilience. As a teacher, my goal is to help you discover that same language in your own body, so you can move with freedom, confidence, and ease in every part of life.
My path to Pilates began through injury. While pursuing dance professionally, I faced a series of setbacks—a herniated disc, sciatica, and chronic joint instability—that forced me to re-examine how I cared for my body. While living in Los Angeles, I explored everything from physical therapy and chiropractic care to acupuncture and yoga. Each helped in different ways, but it was Pilates that transformed me—restoring both my body and spirit.
Although I earned my 450-hour comprehensive certification at Pilates O Ka La, my education continues through Vintage Pilates with Sandy Shimoda and Karen Frischmann, alongside ongoing workshops and mentorship with internationally respected teachers in the lineage of Jay Grimes.
Today, I’m grateful to share this work with the community that raised me. My hope is that through disciplined practice and movement education, each student develops not only greater strength, mobility, and resilience, but a deeper understanding of their own body—one that supports them for a lifetime.

Clay has become my way of paying closer attention to the world around us.
Through my body of work, I explore the relationship between memory, culture, and the nature that surrounds us. My Korean heritage and life in Hawaiʻi continually shape my work. Influenced by the quiet restraint found in many Eastern artistic traditions, I seek to remove what is unnecessary, allowing each shape, form, and color to serve a deliberate purpose.
I create both sculptural and functional ceramics, drawn to organic forms that naturally settle into the body and hands. The quiet dialogue between object and touch is how I seek to connect each vessel to the person.
I hope my work offers more than function and that it becomes part of everyday rituals—objects that invite us to pause, move more intentionally, and discover beauty in the ordinary.

I believe meaningful collaboration have the power to inspire growth, foster connection, and create lasting impact. Whether you're looking to bring Classical Pilates into your workplace, partner on a wellness event or gathering, or commission handcrafted ceramics for your home or business, I'm always interested in working with individuals and businesses who value intentionality, craftsmanship and community.
If our values align, I'd be honored to collaborate.
